Laurie Hoopes has been Involved with horses since 1961 when she was two years old. Laurie participated in Erie County, Ohio 4-H as a child, and was recognized with many county and state honors.
Laurie participated in Open, COSCA, Paint, Ohio Quarter Pony and American Quarter Horse Association breed shows since 1970. She is an AQHA Professional Horseman, and a life member of American Quarter Horse Association.
Laurie trained with Clinton Anderson from 1998 to 2000, and has Trained with World Champion and AQHA Professional Horsewoman of the Year Nancy Cahill from 2000 to present.
Laurie Hoopes Show Horses is located at Sandstone Stables, Ltd. in Amherst, OH, Laurie accepts outside training horses. Laurie is the trainer and coach for several Youth and Amateur AQHA competitors. Among her clients are AQHA top 5 Youth and Open Limited Riders for 2007, All American Quarter Horse Congress Top Ten Winners, All American Youth Show Champion, and the 2007 Congress Queen.
Laurie has conducted trail and showmanship clinics at both the WPQHA and PQHA, all novice shows, for several years. She makes herself available for clinics and instruction at various Equine Events, and will travel to individual farms as well.
